A RETURN to traditional nursing values has further enhanced patient care at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Dorchester, winning praise from NHS bosses at the South West Strategic Health Authority. The hospital, recently rated ‘excellent’ for its quality of services, is following a new national NHS programme that emphasises old-fashioned nursing.

National Award For Musgrove A&E Documentary, England

Emergency Medics, the fly on the wall documentary about the Accident and Emergency Department at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton has won a national award for filmmaker Andrew Brown. The judges for the prestigious Medical Journalism Awards said the programme was “well filmed and utterly gripping. The programme flowed beautifully with the camera’s leaving and returning to the action at just the right moments.
