Nursing Conference A Success At Musgrove Park Hospital, UK

Staff packed the Lecture Theatre at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton last week for the hospital’s second annual nursing and care conference. American Society For Therapeutic Radiology And Oncology Selects Recipient Of First Nursing Award

The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology has selected Peggy Wiederholt, R.N., as the inaugural winner of the ASTRO Nurse Excellence Award, which is awarded to a registered nurse who goes above and beyond the normal standards of nursing practice. British Veterinary Association Welcomes Veterinary Nurses And Practice Managers Into The Fold

A new milestone in the BVA’s 125-year history took place at its Annual General Meeting on 28 September when the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) and the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) were welcomed as Affiliate members. Affiliate and Associate are newly activated BVA membership categories, and the election of BVNA and the VPMA as Affiliates also encourages any of their suitably qualified members to apply for Associate membership of the BVA.

Galen College Of Nursing Expands, Launches Registered Nursing Program

Galen College of Nursing - formerly known as Galen Health Institute School of Nursing - announced today it has launched an associate degree program for licensed vocational nurses who want to become registered nurses. The program launch includes facility expansion and the hiring of a new dean. “This comes at a time when the state of Texas faces a critical shortage of RNs,” said Dean Regina C.
