Florid Goes Live - A One-stop Place For Mental Health Information

A unique new website: www.florid.org.uk has gone live. The website aims to provide a one-stop place for people to find no-nonsense mental health information which is easy to understand. The website is special in that it has been developed by people who use mental health services for use by people who use mental health services. Beth Ford, the website co-ordinator, is very excited about the possibilities.

The “Dirty War Index”: A New Tool To Identify Rates Of Prohibited Or Undesirable War Outcomes

Researchers in this week’s PLoS Medicine present a new tool called the “Dirty War Index (DWI)” based on the laws of war, a tool which identifies rates of prohibited or highly undesirable (”dirty”) war outcomes, such as torture, child injury, and civilian death.
