Gardening Provides Recommended Physical Activity For Older Adults

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American College of Sports Medicine recommends at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most days of the week in order to maintain and improve optimal health. This recommendation is especially important for older Americans, who can be less likely to fulfill this requirement, yet are more at risk for chronic diseases associated with aging.

FDA Approves Genzyme’s Mozobil - Provides Stem Cell Mobilization For Autologous Transplantation In NHL And Multiple Myeloma Patients

Genzyme Corporation (Nasdaq: GENZ) has announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted marketing approval for Mozobil? (plerixafor injection), a drug intended to be used in combination with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells to the bloodstream for collection and subsequent autologous transplantation in patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM).
