Sign language interpreting is one of the highest-risk professions for ergonomic injury, according to a new study conducted by Rochester Institute of Technology. The research indicates that interpreting causes more physical stress to the extremities than high-risk tasks conducted in industrial settings, including assembly line work.

(AMEX: PP), a specialty pharmaceutical company developing innovative late-stage drug candidates for the treatment of neurologic and fibrotic diseases, today announced that the United States FDA has accepted a Pipex-supported, investigator-initiated, Investigational New Drug Application (IND) to conduct a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial of oral flupirtine for the treatment of fibromyalgia, a rheumatic pain disease.
