FDA Clears The DPL (Deep Penetrating Light) Therapy System For Over-the-Counter - Home Use

LED Technologies, LLC announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared their DPL? Therapy System for the relaxation of muscles and relief of muscle spasms, temporary relief of minor muscle and joint aches, pains and stiffness; temporary relief of minor pain and stiffness associated with arthritis; and to temporarily increase local blood circulation.

Rheumatoid Arthritis - Cimzia(R) Studies Show Significant Clinical Benefits For Mono- And Combination Therapy

UCB today announced the results of two phase III studies, published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases Online, showing Cimzia® (certolizumab pegol), the only PEGylated anti-TNFalpha (Tumour Necrosis Factor alpha), provided significant clinical benefits as monotherapy, and in combination with methotrexate, in adults with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Staffordshire Arthritis Patients To Take Part In Major New Keele University Study

A team of researchers at Keele University in Staffordshire, UK, are hoping to improve the care and treatment of painful osteoarthritis offered by GPs in a major project involving almost 2,000 local patients. The study is being funded by a five-year grant of more than £788,000 from the Arthritis Research Campaign.
