DDW 2009 Reveals Advances Being Made In The Treatment Of Hepatitis
Researchers are making great strides in the development of new treatments for hepatitis and in confirming the effectiveness of current treatments, according to several studies presented at Digestive Disease Week® 2009 (DDW®). “Only about half of the patients infected with hepatitis B and C respond to currently used treatments,” said Nicholas J. Shaheen, MD, MPH, AGAF, University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
