Florida Insurance Officials Push For Ban On Gender Rating In Individual Health Insurance Market
Florida’s Legislature this year might consider a bill that would ban gender-based pricing practices in individual health insurance policies, the Miami Herald reports. According to the Herald, insurers generally charge women more than men for premiums, even when coverage for childbirth is excluded.
