UroToday.com - Although primary renal carcinoids (PRC) are rare tumors, they represent a therapeutic dilemma for urologic oncologists due to tumor heterogeneity and their often unpredictable behavior. While these neuroendocrine tumors have traditionally been classified as low-grade tumors there have been cases associated with progression to metastatic disease and death.
