More Action Needed To Tackle Alcohol Misuse, Says British Medical Association
The proposals to crack down on irresponsible drinking are positive but more action is needed say doctors’ leaders in response to details released following the Queen’s Speech. Dr Vivienne Nathanson, BMA Head of Science and Ethics, said: “In our recent report on the misuse of alcohol, the BMA called for the introduction of many of the measures announced today so we’re very pleased the Government has listened to us.
