Week’s Sick Leave For Mental Health Problem Boosts Early Death Risk
Taking a week or more of sick leave for a mental health problem significantly increases the risk of an early death, indicates research published ahead of print in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. The researchers assessed sick leave records from the French GAZEL study, involving almost 20,000 employees, aged between 37 and 51. Just over 5000 were women.
