A £5.9million clinical trial has been commissioned by the National institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment (NIHR HTA) programme to investigate the effectiveness of a new intelligent computer programme that has been designed to support midwives and doctors’ decisions in the management of higher risk labour. The computer programme has been developed to help minimise human error in the management of labour.
