The date and theme for Action for Brain Injury Week 2009 have been announced. This year, cyclists of all ages will be encouraged to wear helmets as part of the awareness-raising week, which will take place between 11-17 May. The use of cycle helmets is a contentious issue, with many people seeing them as unnecessary, awkward and unfashionable. However, as many Headway service users will testify, helmets can save lives.
