CDC Releases New Data On Epilepsy From Multiple States
A multi-state study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found that about one out of 100 adults have active epilepsy, and more than one-third are not getting sufficient treatment. The study, which examined the prevalence of epilepsy or seizure disorder in 19 states, was published in todayâ?²s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Epilepsy affects an estimated 2.7 million people in the United States and costs about $15.
