Urologist Population Density And PSA Screening Practices Predict Prostate Cancer Mortality Rates In The USA
ORLANDO, FL (UroToday.com) - In this interesting study, Dr. Janet Colli and colleagues evaluated whether prostate cancer (CaP) death rates correlated with PSA screening and with the number of urologists per unit of population. In an attempt to account for access to care and socioeconomic status, investigators performed a multivariate analysis controlling for median family income, socioeconomic status, degree of urbanization, and health insurance status.
