Stanford Researchers Get $5.6 Million Stem Cell Grants

Stanford University School of Medicine researchers received approximately $5.6 million on June 27 from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine in awards designed to support the creation of new pluripotent human stem cell lines. All four of Stanford’s applicants were funded. The researchers received multiyear grants of about $1.4 million each as part of CIRM’s newest round of awards. The awards support two types of research.
