Pre-Treatment Factors Predictive Of Positive Surgical Margin In Contemporary Radical Prostatectomies
ORLANDO, FL (UroToday.com) - Positive surgical margin (PSM) is one of the most critical factors affecting prostate cancer outcome in men receiving prostatectomy. A group of researchers sought to identify pre-treatment factors predictive of PSM. A total of 4134 men receiving radical prostatectomy after 2000 were used for this study. Among these patients, 3136 were from Duke Prostate Center and 998 were from Section of Urology at University of Chicago Medical Center.
