Medication Improves Driving Ability ADHD Patients

The use of the medication methylphenidate considerably improves the driving ability of people with ADHD. This was shown in research done by Joris Verster of Utrecht University, The Netherlands. The study will appear in the May 2008 issue of Journal of Psychopharmacology.People with ADHD are often prescribed methylphenidate (brand name Ritalin) to counteract hyperactive behavior and attention dysfunction that may negatively affect their driving ability.
