Lower Blood Pressure Linked To Statins

An article published in the Archives of Internal Medicinereports that statins - medications that are usually prescribed to lowerblood cholesterol levels - may also lower blood pressure. Beatrice A.Golomb, M.D., Ph.D., (University of California, San Diego, La Jolla)and colleagues noted a modest but significant reduction in bloodpressure for patients taking statins.
