According to a study published in the Archives of InternalMedicine, women who maintain diets that are like the DietaryApproaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet can reduce their risk ofcoronary heart disease and stroke. The DASH diet suggests a lowconsumption of animal protein, moderate intake of low-fat dairyproducts, and high intake of plant proteins, fruits, and vegetables.
