Anesthetics, Pesticides, And X-rays Increase Risk Of Miscarriage In Female Veterinarians
Female veterinarians have twice the risk of miscarrying as a result ofincreased exposure to anesthetic gases and pesticides, according to astudy released on April 1, 2008 in the BMJ Specialty Journal Occupationaland Environmental Medicine. These results highlight a warningfor all young female vets, who must be made more informed of theinherent risks should they want to become pregnant.
