Natural Selection Accelerates Speciation: More Strong Evidence For Darwin’s Theory
Oneof the cornerstones of Charles Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection isthat adaptation to environmental characteristics will accelerate thecreation of new species. Direct evidence for this has beenfoundin support for this idea, according to an article published in theopen-access journal PLoS ONE on April 2, 2008. The process of speciation involves the separation of one populationinto more than one group of similar but notably different populations.
