Eastern Europe Holds Considerable Potential For IR And Non-Mercury Thermometers
Growing awareness about the hazardous nature of mercury and the European Commission’s (EC’s) proposal to ensure the absence of toxic substances in the manufacturing process of medical devices are expected to ensure the growth of the underdeveloped Eastern European temperature monitoring devices market. The EC’s proposal to ban the use of mercury in household thermometers will increase the sale of non-mercury thermometers, especially digital thermometers.
