Pre-Eclampsia Risk To Mothers And Babies Is Greater For Smokers
The results of a new study published in the journal Hypertensionreveal that if women give up smoking before or during pregnancy, theycan reduce their risk of pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is a high-risk medical condition when hypertension (highblood pressure) arises in pregnancy along with increased protein inurine; it leads to hundreds of baby deaths every year.
