A pioneer in stroke and central nervous system injury received the American Stroke Association’s highest honor - the Thomas Willis Award - at the International Stroke Conference 2008.Pak H. Chan, Ph.D., professor of neurology and neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, delivered the Willis Lecture and discussed potential strategies for neuroprotection.The American Stroke Association also presented awards to: * S.
