Oscar-Nominated Actress Returns With Acclaimed Depiction Of Alzheimer’s Disease, UK

Actress Julie Christie will return to cinemas with her performance of a woman living with Alzheimer’s disease. Away From Her is being re-released ahead of the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, where Christie is nominated for Best Actress. Christie stars as Fiona who insists on going into care as her memory starts to deteriorate, rather than staying at home with her husband of 40 years Grant (Gordon Pinsent).
