U.S. Patent Office Allows Hythiam Patent Application Underlying The PROMETA Treatment Program For Alcoholism

Hythiam, Inc. (NASDAQ:HYTM) announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has allowed Hythiam’s U.S. Patent Application No. 10/621,229 which contains claims using a composition of matter for reducing a person’s desire to drink alcohol. The patent will serve to enhance protection of the intellectual property underlying the company’s PROMETA Treatment Program. This patent, the second allowance in the U.S.
