Videoconferencing Can Help Surgeons Make Their Rounds From A Distance
Using robotic teleconferencing to monitor patients after urologic surgery appears to result in similar patient outcomes and satisfaction as traditional bedside rounds, according to a report in the December issue of Archives of Surgery, one of the JAMA/Archives journals. “The defining image of inpatient care is that of the physician conducting bedside rounds,” the authors write as background information in the article.
