Seniors Optimistic Rudd Government Means New Era In Federal-State Relations, Australia
Older Australians have expressed optimism that the newly elected Labor government will end the federal-state gridlock that has characterised policy-making over the past few years. National Seniors chief executive, Michael O’Neill, said many of the election demands put forward by older Australians in this campaign had arisen out of the federal and state governments’ inability to either work together or take ownership of key issues.
