Dramatic Hike Forecast For ADHD Drugs Spend
The NHS is likely to face a 10-fold increase in the cost of drugs prescribed to children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in the decade to 2012. The research, published in the online open access journal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health, modelled various scenarios to determine possible costs to the National Health Service in England and the statutory health insurance providers in Germany.
