The ACP (American College of Physicians) has released its latest clinical practice guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). COPD is a lung disease which progresses slowly - lung function is progressively lost. COPD is more common among smokers. The guidelines appear in Annals of Internal Medicine, November 6th, 2007 issue. Over 5% of US adults have COPD. [click link for full article]
