An appeal hearing involving the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS), the Alliance for Better Bone Health and Servier Laboratories Ltd takes place after the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended only one single treatment (alendronate) for the estimated 2 million1 post-menopausal osteoporosis sufferers in England and Wales.
