Five-Year-Old Boy Receives Landmark Kidney Transplant, UK
A little boy from Grimsby has a whole new future to look forward to after receiving the 50,000th kidney transplant recorded in the UK. Five-year-old Kyle Nuttall had spent most of his life in hospital before the landmark transplant at St James’s Hospital in Leeds earlier this month. When he was just ten months old he was diagnosed with pneumococcal haemolytic uremic syndrome, an infection which led to chronic renal failure. [click link for full article]
