NMC Updates Standards To Reflect Modern Health Practice, UK

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has released a new document ‘Standards for medicine management’ in light of the significant changes in health practice and to reflect contemporary nursing and midwifery practice. The new document, which replaces the ‘Guidelines for the administration of medicines (2004)’, includes standards that cover the process from prescribing, through to dispensing, storage, administration and disposal of medicines.
