APA Praises Congressional Passage Of FDA Bill
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) hailed passage of the Food and Drug Amendments Act of 2007 as a major step in securing the safety of prescription drugs for patients. If enacted, the legislation will ensure the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will have the authority to order new studies, strengthen and improve access to clinical trial data and require label changes for medications already on the market, making the nation’s drug supply safer.
